Turning the mundane into a work of art - Matte Watch

When I was a member of a local Toastmasters club some years back, I was impressed with the value of the speaking experience offered by the organization.  One thing I would have changed about the experience was the way weekly speakers were recognized.  The club had an incentive that involved awarding various speakers with remembrances in the form of ribbons and a dinky plastic trophy passed from week to week among the best speakers for the week.  A recent investigation showed me that the organization sells various types of speaker awards to the local clubs, and it is very protective of the logo for Toastmasters.  Even local clubs cannot use the logo without special permission.  That is a shame.  Presumably, some of the clubs do not have the funds to purchase the more expensive awards offered by the Toastmasters organization, so I thought about an inexpensive way to reward speakers regularlyby using a high quality virtual award.  The following sample might be one such award template that could be used to fill the gap and encourage participation.  If you are a member of Toastmasters looking for some cool awards to use in your weekly speaking incentives, drop me a line, and I will show you how to raise the bar on your club’s incentive prizes.
