If you are like me, I like to go to art galleries and take my digital camera along to snap pictures of various paintings and other works of art.  I have noticed that no matter how carefully framed the photos are, there is often a slight skew or angle on the painting being photographed which needs to be corrected.  I also like to take paintings and rework them with more modern digital matting techniques to change up the look of what results.  Here is an example of what I am talking about in a before and after look.

In this after image, the original photo has been adjusted and matted to create a nice digital version of the original painting, without the noticeable skew and tilt of the original shot, ready for display in a digital picture frame.  If you have paintings you want to sell, and you want them to be seen at their best, a digitally matted image of the work makes a nice display for a web site, and may help to increase sales.  Transformed images themselves may be sold as prints of the original work.  Cost to perform such a transformation is $3 from Matte Watch.

As the season changes into late autumn, there might be a need to cling to something memorable from summer until it rolls around again.  This creation I call “Summer Tree” to help me recapture the green.  I like looking at it after a loud night of watching football games on television.
