In a recent visit with a friend who was admiring one of my digital photo frame calendar creations, my friend said, “That’s really nice, but I like to have a calendar I can write on.”  For the moment, I let the comment pass, because most people have more than one calendar in their home, used for various purposes.  My decorative calendars are nice, and they can be used to display events and other information when ordered, but what about a digital calendar sequence designed to let you write your own notes on, and display in your photo frame?   Well, if you can use a simple program like Paint, that comes with your computer, you can write anything you want on a copy of my calendar designs, save it under a different file name, and load the copy into the frame.  Couple this with a perpetual calendar design, and you have a blank slate for any form of wordiness you desire.  Check out this suggested sequence I made using a baseline blank calendar, and some fake notes.  As long as you do not save the new file to overwrite the original, you can change your pages until your heart is content.  Do you want one?  I knew you would.

When creating perpetual calendar styles, the simplest method is to create images for each month of the year, and to add an extra February image for leap years.  Depending on the number of unique images, this method can be produced for as little as $39.  When adding holidays, events, and other information like days of the week to a perpetual sequence, the construction becomes a bit more complicated.  Since each year begins on a different day of the week, and there may be floating holidays that occur, the process of creating a perpetual calendar sequence becomes more involved.  There are ways to record these types of changing values, but this will require some reshuffling or renaming of image files from year to year as they are applied to the following year.  Available methods for creating these sequences also add to the number of images needed to display the desired information, raising the production cost for this type of calendar.  I can explain the available options for people who want to add more to their perpetual calendar purchase than matted photos and calendar pages.  The good news is that with a little creative selection, you can purchase a calendar once, and use it for as long as you want.  I will work with you to get the best value for the price from your digital photo calendar.  What can I make for you today?

Many people inquire about perpetual calendar designs for their digital frames, and we offer a variety of approaches to creating perpetual calendar sets for customers.  In today’s sequence, I am demonstrating one method for achieving the perpetual calendar display sequence.  One of my designs uses the monthly calendar view, excluding the year and days of the week to achieve a perpetual calendar.  In this design, the missing elements of year and day of the week are supplied on a second slide in the sequence.  This means that for any given year, you could update the sequence for each year by creating or updating 7 images to track the current year and day of the week, and reuse all the other existing images in the sequence.  Having me do the updates for you would cost $3.  So,  the initial perpetual calendar design sequence as shown for a full year would be $57.  You get 31 images for the price of 19.  If you use the same photo matte for all your monthly photos, you get the package for  $33.  That’s like getting 20 images FREE.  If you are looking for perpetual calendar value, Matte Watch can deliver.

Today’s post is another of my cubical calendar designs.  In this particular example,  I liked the way the texture of the composition came out.  There are lots of ways to have fun with these block shaped designs, and they make a nice conversation piece when other people discover them.  My calendar designs can start any time of the year, so you do not have to settle for buying  a calendar in March with two months already expired.  Order pages monthly, and you will always have a current calendar page ready to use.  Merry Christmas.

With various creative digital photo frame calendar sequences, it is possible to create many different types of effects, and to mix various aspects to achieve combinations to suit both budget and aesthetic tastes.  In today’s layout, I am combining a fancy digital matting, quarter stack calendar page combined with inspirational thought in a design that requires fewer baseline images to produce than three separate calendar page designs.  The entire year’s worth of designs  could be produced with four matted photos, four calendar pages, and four inspirational pages, making the end cost $36 at $3 per page.  Because  eight pages would contain repetitive matting design, the cost of a yearly package would be reduced to $24.  Using the same matte for the entire set of calendar images would bring the cost for the yearly perpetual calendar  set to $18.  Choose a design package that is right for you and your budget.  If you do not see the design you want, tell me what you have in mind, and let me work to create it for you.

Today’s calendar sample is a sequence which combines a matted fall photo with a perpetual cursor calendar, event listing, and monthly inspirational quote.   The total number of images used to create this sequence for this annual perpetual design is about 430 images.  Using a different fall photo for each month, or seasonal shots for each season of the year will make this calendar design a beautiful experience.  As we head toward a new year, I will be posting pages for January 2012 during this month.  You can buy calendars here by the month or by the year, beginning any time of year.  You are welcome to shop by any time.

Today’s selection is another nice matted photo of a fall scene taken at Corporate Woods in Overland Park, KS.  This sequence demonstrates a technique that alternates the matted photo with a calendar page which creates a cursor effect to mark the passing days in the month.  The entire effect includes the matted photo and 31 calendar images to mark each day of the month.  We can add other effects as well, but this simple sequence is popular as photo frame images which play along with your other photo creations.  A yearly set would cost $72 to produce.  We generally do not offer the cursor effect on perpetual sets to avoid the large number of files needed to complete the perpetual calendar page sets.
